“NanoTech” front double cardan prop-shaft for Defender 90 and 110, 300 Tdi and Td5, total length closed 615 mm.

“NanoTech” prop-shafts by Herero 4×4, are of the double joint type, with 43° rotational-working angle, equipped with external greasing points directly on the crosses, to facilitate maintenance work. An absolute novelty in the panorama of double-joint prop-shafts, is the special ‘Nanotechnological’ treatment capable of lowering friction inside the double joint, giving superior reliability when the vehicle is used at high speeds (a well-known weak point of double-joint units). They are made with 63 mm splines with a stroke of up to 130 mm rolled for maximum strength (+25% compared to similar machined parts) and 27 mm crosses. They are installed without the interposition of flanges and are characterised by increased travel and dimensions in order to guarantee robustness and avoid premature wear of the cross pieces.
