PROGRAM
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23
Meeting in Civitavecchia at 3:00 PM – completion of boarding formalities and departure.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24
Arrival in Tunis at 2:00 PM – completion of customs formalities and departure towards Tozeur, with an expected arrival late in the evening (10:00 – 11:00 PM). Accommodation in a 4-star hotel.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25
In the morning, we head towards Tamerza to visit the most famous mountain oasis, the canyon, and the small waterfall. Then, we cross the large salt lake (Chott El Jerid) to reach Douz. There will be time for a stroll in the small square to enjoy mint tea and to buy the excellent local dates, as our arrival coincides with the harvest season. Dinner and overnight stay in a 4-star hotel.
FROM SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26 TO TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29
Four days of dunes and desert!! We will reach the oasis of Ain Ouadette for a bath in the hot spring. This point is the furthest south that most organized tours go, but we will push even further south, heading towards Bir Aouine to explore an unfrequented area characterized by stunning dune chains. On Tuesday, October 29, we will cross the Zmela dune chain to reach the Oasis of Ksar Ghilane. The plan includes 3 nights camping in the desert and 1 night in a campsite.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30
We will calmly depart from the Oasis of Ksar Ghilane for a day in the territories of the Berber cities; Chenini (UNESCO World Heritage Site), then Toujane, and finally we will reach Matmata where a hotel with rooms carved into the rock awaits us. Dinner and overnight stay in a 4-star hotel.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31
Transfer to Tunis, arriving in the afternoon for boarding. Departure for Salerno is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1
Arrival is expected at 3:00 PM.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Passport with a remaining validity of at least 3 months.
Check if your Green Card is enabled for Tunisia. If it isn’t, you can arrange temporary insurance at the border.
