Kit Pistommy

Description

When mounting oversized and / or mud tires, three problems arise: broken steering gear, poor steering force and shimmi during road use.

Pistommy is a hydraulic piston, fixed on one side by means of a bracket, to the case of the differential and on the other on the Portal Track Rod. Respectively anchored by a silent block on the differential and a uniball on the bar, thus combining elasticity and rotation.

The piston is powered using the original steering box, in fact it is connected to it by means of special fittings and high pressure pipes.

The piston was sized for oil quantity and stroke only for Land Rover Defender in order to obtain the maximum result in terms of effectiveness and resistance.

The merits:

• increase in steering force.
• decrease in steering gear breakage.
• In road use, Pistommy works as anti-Shimmi.

The kit is supplied complete for installation on each Defender model, it is installed without any modification
and is completely reversible.

The kit includes the reinforced Portal Track Rod complete with Reiforced rod ends.
