FRIDAY, MARCH 29
Meeting at the port in Civitavecchia at 4 PM – Completion of boarding formalities and departure at 8 PM.

SATURDAY, MARCH 30
Navigation. The ferry stops in Palermo, where crews from the South can board. Disembarkation in Tunis around 11:00 PM, completion of customs procedures, and transfer to Hammamet, where we will arrive around 2:00 AM. Check-in and overnight stay in a 4-star hotel.

SUNDAY, MARCH 31
Breakfast and departure towards the desert! A long but fast highway stretch takes us directly to Matmata; a short lunch break in the troglodyte village, and then we reach the Ksar Ghilane Oasis for the first contact with the sand. If there is still light, we will take an initial excursion to the Roman fort. Typical dinner and overnight stay in camping (bring your own tent).

FROM MONDAY, APRIL 1, TO WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3
It’s time to get serious! Three full days of challenging dune routes, with dizzying descents and high ridges. Two nights in bivouac, and at the end of the third day in the sand, we return to Douz for a relaxing evening in a 4-star hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

THURSDAY, APRIL 4
It’s time to head back north; a long day that we break up with a visit to El Jem and its Colosseum, which is in excellent condition. Arrival in the late afternoon in Hammamet for an additional stop and then dinner in Tunis in the characteristic neighborhood of Sidi Bou Said. Around 10:00 PM, we head to the port to begin the boarding procedures. The ship is scheduled to depart after midnight.

FRIDAY, APRIL 5
Navigation.

SATURDAY, APRIL 6
Arrival in Genoa around 9:30 AM, farewells, and return home.

Important note: Crews returning to Palermo will have 2 additional nights in Hammamet (Thursday, April 4, and Friday, April 5).
