Mixed dual fuel Diesel-LPG system offers many advantages, all attributable to improved and refined fuel combustion in diesel engines, whether they are with mechanical injections or common rail.

The system control unit adjusts the gas injection according to the number of engine revolutions (via the rpm sensor), the position of the accelerator, (via the sensor located on the accelerator, if present, or via the potentiometer added to the pedal) and the pressure sensor in the common rail injection.

How does it work

The fuel system Mixed dual fuel Diesel-LPG offers many advantages, due to an improved and refined combustion of fuel in diesel engines whether they are with mechanical injections or common rail.

The ECU of the system adjusts the gas injection according to the number of engine’s revs via revs sensor, the position of the throttle and the pressure sensor in the common rail system

4 injectors are used to get a perfect nebulization mixing the gas with the air, coming from the turbo, before the intercooler. The result is a lower air temperature breathed by the engine, increasing power and torque.

Also, the better combustion decreases pollution and fuel consumption.

Safety

The system includes a knock sensor and an exhaust gas temperature sensor to check in real time the good operation of the engine.

At the first malfunction signal, or if temperature increases, the ECU immediately switches the system in “standard diesel”, preventing any kind of trouble.

Traffic restrictions

The application of Mixed dual fuel system produces a strong decrease of pollution.

This allows by italian law, to consider this kind of vehicles capable to circulate during the period of “stop traffic”.
